I’m sure it’s one you would like the answer to as most salespeople would. You’re in luck! I am a firm believer of this one method on how to promote your business that I’m going to share with you my thoughts on this intriguing question.

If you want to know how to promote your business and increase your revenue, start a sales blog. That’s right. Start a Blog.

Before you roll your eyes and leave, let me show you what I mean. This is sort of like the new “cold call” of the door-to-door-salesman.

How to Promote Your Business

“But I don’t have time to write a blog.” you’re saying.

That’s one lame excuse. Okay, so you’re busy. Who’s not these days. It’s not a matter of being busy or not, it’s simply the answer to the question. If you want to increase your sales because the traditional methods aren’t working so well, then why not give it a try?

It’s not as hard as you may think. And I will say this, if you don’t your competition will beat you every time.

Traditional Sales
You see, traditional sales means you get in your car and drive all over your “territory” to see customers and develop new ones from some lukewarm list of prospects.


And you actually should see your customers. Often. But if you are like most salespeople, you have lots of them, at least I hope you do, therefore you can’t see them nearly as often as you would like.

Hey, as for prospecting, now that takes more time than blogging will ever take. I shouldn’t even have to remind you of how much time it takes to develop a relationship and nurture it to the point of a customer who buys your stuff.

So this brings me right back to my point. If you want to know how to promote your business while increasing revenue, start a blog.

Think of it this way.
You have your list of appointments for the day. And like most salespeople it’s not many. What you probably do is drive from one customer to the other hoping they have time to see you. Some may, most won’t.

Let me ask you this. If you did have a blog that answered questions about your product, that customers and prospects have asked you, wouldn’t it be easy to direct them to your blog to find answers without you having to drive across the country to see them. For only ten minutes? Whoa, what a waste of time.

If you are in sales and have a blog, congratulations! You are way ahead of your competition already. If you don’t have a blog, WAKE UP DUDE or DUDETTE! Don’t let the world pass you by.

Okay. So that answers the question how to promote your business to increase revenue. With your blog.
